So I was thinking of getting a TV tuner... you know, to record TV on my computer. I looked around and saw names like Hauppauge and D-Link, but I'm not sure what to buy yet. I'll think about it later.

Yesterday was my day of fun. The day started of innocently enough with me sleeping in until twelve. Then I got the call. It was my friend Viktoria, she had invited me on a hike up to a place called cinder cone. Cinder Cone is located in Lassen Volcanic National Park. She said that she was planning to go yesterday and did I still want to go. I said yes. Viktoria is from Hungary. I met her last summer. She married a guy from here so they visit every year. She's great. We were also going to take these other girls visiting from Kazakhstan. There names are Dilshat, Arai, and Assel. They're great. We left at around 3pm. we drove to the next town over and dropped off Viktorias car. Then they all piled into my car. We had to drive for almost 45 min.s to get to the trailhead.

We Continued hiking on a trail that is literally made of Very fine Lava that felt like we were walking on a beach. We stopped at the Fantastic Lava Beds were Assel decided to break the rules and steal a piece of Lava.

On the way up the Trail is sand as well. And boy was it hard to walk up there. Every step you took slid back a little ways. This is where I had to stop for a rest. I wasn't even a quarter of the way up!



This is the second time I stopped. I took a picture of these people on a trail all the way at the bottom. Can you see them?



This is Butte Lake from my third and final stop. All of the dark around the lake that looks like it could be dirt is the Fantastic Lava Beds

When we were finally all up there we walked around the rim and ate lunch on the only trees up there. From the left is Dilshat, Assel, me and Viktoria.


We also drank some Tibor Gal wine Viktoria brought from Hungary.



The Cinder Cone has this huge sunk in cylinder in the middle. Assel, Dilshat and Viktoria went down to the bottom

Although getting up was very tough going down was easy. The trail is so soft that you almost just slid the whole way. It was very fun. We all the ran and slid like we were skiing. We only fell down a couple of times . It was dark by the time we got back to my car. we washed our feet off in the Lake and called it a day. Well that was my day on August 5th 2008.

It's been a while but i'm back for the day.

So much has happened and my mind is a bit cloudy.
I got my ankle strained and got pooped on by a bird all on the same night. And no, i was not drunk, sadly it was at the beginning of the evening when it happened. took the fun away of getting drunk and drive
Got a kite surfing class and it was awesome. I have to go back for 2 more classes but i ran out of money

Went to brunch on sunday with my mom and grandma. Was delish. Had seafood, lots of seafood. Especially the conch was

Sometime over the next couple of days I'm going to be hiking Cinder Cone in Lassen Volcanic Park. I've been told its a grueling 4 mile hike going up almost 800 ft. If you want to know what I was thinking, ...... well I don't know so I can't help you. I'm going up with four other girls. One is Viktoria, shes from Hungary. She married a guy from around here so they visit every summer for a couple of months. She leaving friday. The other three are Arai, Assel, and Dilshat. They are here from Kazakhstan. And I think they leave sometime at the end of this month. I plan to take lots of cool pics, but here are some from the website to see now.

i finally made my own blog. i just had to have somewhere to let out my feelings for miss x / aka miss fred

i just cant stop thinking about her i know she's only 16 but she sooooo shmexy. and the whole CIA thing is a BIG plus

i had this dream about her last night... i won't go into detail, you can thank me for that later let's just say i can't get her off my mind

so what do you say missy? ill buy the plane ticket, you can fly on over and stay with the don

Ah well it is Tuesday night and it is my day off tomorrow - yippppppeeeee weeeeeheeee!

I will be stepping out into our little town tomorrow to find myself a new washing machine as my present one is on it's last legs. Otherwise it will just be a quiet relaxing day ....I have nothing planned, so intend to chill and watch some stuff on surf the channel!

This evening when I finished work, I went up to the field to say hello to the mini horses and sheep as I do most evenings. I have 3 miniature horses Jack and Billy and Jack's foal Whisper; a fine colt.

Jack is 32 inches at the shoulder and he is as black as night with a white spot the size of a 5 pence coin on his left rump. Billy is a dark brown moving towards black and Whisper is what I decribe as blue and dusky pink mink, he also has a stripe right down the centre of his back (not unlike that of a a mules!) Whisper should make about 32 maximum 34 inches at the shoulder.

Then there is Bambi the sheep, he believes he is a miniature horse! He is a definite member of the herd! Bambi and Whisper play with one another for hours, it is really something to watch.

Anyway getting back to the story - I went to the field as usual to say hello - I was however totally ignored by Jack and Whisper. When I approached them to say hello they just ran off, Billy on the other hand nuzzled me and followed me around for a bit, Billy can always be counted on for a loving greeting - he is a soppy soft hearted and gentle soul, whilst Jack can be very stubborn, moody and otherwise,

When I finally gave up trying to say hello to Jack and Whisper I went off to say hello to Bambi and give him a good scratch around his horn stubs as he enjoys that very much. I then walked out of the field (still not having said hello to the other two!) I closed the gate and got into my car and started the motor up - WELL! To my surprise Jack and Whisper came galloping across the field and down to the gate to say hello before I left - I could almost read their thoughts - hahahha the little buggers! It fet so good though after being ignored so!

They had second thoughts and came over to the gate, not wanting to miss out on a hello and a love,
I was then forced to get outt of the car (oh so reluctantly of course!) and give them each a scratch and nuzzle through the gate, I had to laugh though when Jack tossed his head, nipped his son and they galloped off again - almost as though he tossed his head and said "that's enough for you today, hmphhhh!" Needless to say I felt loved and went home with a happy heart!

My animals are the joy in my life, without them I would have a very empty life, they fill my life with love and laughter and I thank them every day for being in my life, they are indeed very precious to me.
